This is our open list. It is not money — these are specific things we need at the moment and that may be lying about unused somewhere. If you have any of it, or know where to get it, we would be very grateful.
A light aluminium shovel
For mucking out. In September 2026 the company StavStar s.r.o. brought us two of them and helped us a great deal. We are leaving the request here all the same: with twelve horses a shovel wears out within a year and has to be replaced.
Corrugated pipe
Diameter 1 metre, length 6 metres. It will become a water reservoir.
LDPE pipe, 50 mm
Roughly 1 kilometre. The main line from the reservoir.
LDPE pipe, 32 mm
Roughly 1 kilometre. The branches to the individual drinking troughs.
Concrete utility poles
The ones left over when power lines are rebuilt — discarded concrete poles from the electricity network. For us they are ideal load-bearing elements for building an open stable into the bank. They last for decades and nobody needs them any more.
Why we need it
Drought. The last few summers have shown that relying on rainfall alone is not enough — and a herd out on pasture has to drink every day, even when not a drop falls for two months.
That is why we want to build a reservoir and a water systemto carry water around the pastures and to the drinking troughs. The corrugated pipe will make the tank, and the pipes will take the water where the horses need it.
We can manage the digging and the whole job ourselves — we have the machines and the hands for it. All we are short of is materials.

Concrete panels for the drinking troughs were on this list for a long time. We no longer need them — the local agricultural co-operative gave them to us. Thank you.
On our pastures we have five springs and with the trough panels they will become natural drinking places — the water will flow by itself, with no pumps and no hauling. The water system we are preparing will cover the rest of the pastures.
